사이의 선 THE LINES IN BETWEEN
《사이의 선》은 사람과 시간 사이에 남겨지는 흔적을 회화, 사진, 설치, 즉흥 퍼모먼스의 형태로 풀어내는 전시다. 몸의 선과 사이, 맞닿음의 경계를 담아낸 흑백 사진, 움직임의 선의 모음을 담아내는 회화, 직접 만지고 감각할 수 있는 설치 작업, 그리고 진행되는 움직임 퍼포먼스가 하나의 흐름 안에서 연결된다. 사진은 색을 덜어내고, 신체와 신체 사이의 공백과 서로 맞닿는 순간에 생겨나는 선을 바라본다. 반면 회화는 색과 움직임, 그리고 감각의 잔상을 통해 눈에 보이지 않는 시간을 드러낸다. 서로 다른 매체는 각각의 방식으로 시간을 기록하면서도 독립적으로 머무르지 않고 하나의 흐름 속에서 서로를 이어준다.
관객은 작품을 바라보는 데 그치지 않고 전시장 안을 이동하고, 머무르고, 감각하며 각기 다른 시간의 층위를 경험하게 된다. 작품과 작품 사이를 지나고, 공간에 자신의 움직임과 시간을 더하는 순간, 관객 역시 전시장에 흔적을 남기는 하나의 ‘선’이 된다.
《사이의 선》은 그렇게 사람과 사람 사이, 몸과 공간 사이, 지나간 시간과 현재 사이에 생겨나는 보이지 않는 선을 바라본다. 그리고 그 선을 따라 우리가 무엇을 남기고, 무엇을 감각하며 살아가고 있는지를 묻는다.
